Urban Code
The project “Urban Code for the New Capital Entrance” defines a comprehensive design vision. It establishes architectural codes regulating building elevations along the primary gateway of the city. Focus extends to areas beneath the monorail and its structural supporting columns. These underutilized spaces are reimagined as functional and aesthetically integrated urban landscapes. Design strategies incorporate softscape, hardscape, and signage to enhance the entrance environment. The code ensures harmony between architecture, infrastructure, and landscape for a cohesive identity. Altogether, the project shapes a distinctive, welcoming, and sustainable image for Cairo’s New Capital.
